Welcome to Nikkei Home: A New Concept in Senior Support
INDEPENDENCE, RESPECT, DIGNITY, PRIVACY, CHOICE – five cornerstones of adulthood that are too often forgotten when the time comes to face the changes in lifestyle that are a natural part of aging. While many seniors maintain independence well into their later years, there comes a time when some level of support is needed – with the need generally increasing over time.
Nikkei Home offers a modern apartment building for residents aged 55 and over. While residents have a large degree of independence in day-to day living, trained, qualified staff are available as needed for personal assistance 24 hours a day.
Nikkei Home is a partnership with Fraser Health Authority and Homes BC registered with the Registrar of Assisted Living.

Offering spacious Apartments
Residents supply their own furniture and are encouraged to make their apartments their home. Spacious one-bedroom apartments with balconies and studio suites offer residents the independence and privacy they are accustomed to, while offering opportunities for socializing and group activities. Each apartment (except for studios) has full cooking facilities so that residents can cook for themselves and guest.
Access to a range of service
Nikkei Home is a culturally sensitive environment and offer support services for those who need help with activities of daily living. Assisted Living allows residents to live continuously under the umbrella of support for as long as possible, with as little disruption as possible, and is developed to meet the needs of seniors as they continue to age.
A full-service restaurant on the premises offers a choice of Japanese and Western dishes and is open to guests and the public. As a resident, the monthly fee includes breakfast and dinner. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated. Light, weekly housekeeping is also included.
Social, recreational, and spiritual activities are offered to accommodate a diverse range of interests and activity level.
Residency reflects needs
Nikkei Home and the Fraser Health Authority select residents based upon their assessed needs. A support plan is put into place and the resident receives both personal service and light personal assistance by a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse and Resident Assistants.
The support services are adjusted as needed based upon communication between the Resident, Staff and Assisted Living Case Manager. The costs associated with living at Nikkei Home are determined on a sliding scale and fees are paid monthly.
